REDUCTION D INCERTITUDES MACHINES
Expert has worked with applied statistics on a daily basis. He has used statistical data analysis extensively in his work to perform capability studies on processes and machines. This analysis also extends to work he has done in measurement error analysis and gage R&R studies. Where continuous data was involved, he utilized the normal distribution, using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Anderson-Darling, Shapiro-Wilke and Ryan-Joiner tests for normality of the data to go beyond the visual examination of data histograms. Statistical methods including statistical inference was applied to these studies. Where discreet data was involved, Expert used the Binomial and Poisson distributions to model the data and make statistical inferences. He has also incorporated other probability distribution models including log, natural log, Weibull, gamma and exponential when appropriate, incorporating degrees of freedom and the statistical median in box plots to properly determine findings.
